About Course
For better or worse, before you can hit the road you have to make sure you are in full compliance with your local government’s rules and ordinances pertaining to mobile vending. Insurance, taxes, company formation, ServSafe certification, commissary management, staffing, and learning to safely drive a large vehicle are all things you should acquaint yourself with before selling any food. This unit is designed to help you get a handle on all of these things and more. While there is no exact standard that applies to every municipality everywhere, once you have completed this section you will have a general overview of the types of requirements you will most likely be expected to meet regardless of your location. Keep in mind that you should always talk to your local health department and government officials to determine exactly what is necessary to do in your specific location rather than relying on general advice from any other source.
